There are so many choices out there! And if you're looking for a church home, you know how daunting finding one in a sea of options can be. It seems everyone, and every church, is offering something "new" or "exciting" or just promises to be more entertaining than the other options.

At Northpointe, we believe church needs to strive to be relevant in a cultural sense, but only as far as understanding how to apply the timeless truths of God's Word to an everchanging cultural context. In reality, many of the problems people experience today are not much different than at any other time in human history. 

And you know what? We believe God's Word is as relevant today as it ever has been.

The problem isn't that God's Word can no longer address the questions of modern life, the problem is many today have little knowledge of the richness and depth of wisdom found in the bible. And unfortunately, many bible teachers today have abandoned the principles of in-depth instruction for the shallow waters of excitement and entertainment. 

Don't get me wrong, I know we all need excitement and entertainment in our lives, but expecting those things to answer the challenges of life is like using a piece of scotch tape to dress an open wound. 

It just isn't the right tool for the job.
